The covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on society in various fields. In terms of education, the majority of the people have to use the PdPR method. However, how was the students’ acceptance of the PdPR method during the covid-19 pandemic? Therefore, this study aims to identify the impact of online learning during the pandemic on first year students of USIM. Using a qualitative approach, a total of 150 students were asked open-ended questions about the impact of covid-19 on their learning. As a result, students feel that PdPR method was less effective and disrupted their focus in learning. Some of the factors that impact them are the state of poor internet access, uncomfortable environment, finances, responsibilities in the family, affecting mental and physical health and difficulty in communicating well with each other in completing tasks. As a result most feel that this PdPR method was not effective. Yet it had to be adhere to the standard operating procedures to curb the spread of covid-19 in the community.
