This study addresses the phenomenon of violence against women from a Qur'anic-Maqasidi perspective, in light of its increasing rates in contemporary societies and the inadequacy of traditional legal and social approaches in providing radical solutions. The research proceeds from the hypothesis that the Qur'anic text offers an integrated civilisational framework for the protection of women, and that activating the higher objectives of Shari'ah (Maqasid al-Shari'ah) constitutes an effective approach to addressing current challenges. The study aims to answer the main question: How can the Maqasid of the Qur'an establish a civilisational model for protecting women from violence? The research adopts a descriptive-analytical and Maqasidi methodology by extrapolating the relevant verses (Ayat) and analysing them in light of the occasions of revelation (Asbab al-Nuzul). It also employs a deductive method to extract the objectives (Maqasid) and a comparative method to connect them to the contemporary context. The study reached several key findings, most notably that the Holy Qur'an lays down an integrated civilisational foundation for the protection of women, based on safeguarding their human dignity and prohibiting any form of physical or psychological harm. The study also highlighted that the Qur'anic protection is not limited to legislation alone; rather, its mechanisms are graduated, moving from prevention to treatment and, ultimately, to societal reform. This makes it a comprehensive framework that transcends partial solutions and promotes the active participation of women in building society.
