[Liberalism: The Roles Of Muslim Youth Leaders] Liberalisme : Peranan Pemimpin Muda Islam

Abstract

A Muslim’s religious understanding is fading due to the lack of religious exposure from a genuine balance sheet. As a result, they are easily trapped by deviant ideologies such as the ideology of liberalism based on the logic of reason alone. Therefore, this study was implemented to provide early education on liberalism to the younger generation as to strengthen their Islamic creed and to hinder such influence. Undoubtedly, various parties have taken initiatives to prevent liberalism, but this problem is still widespread. Preliminary studies have identified the level of adolescents' knowledge of liberalism and found some solutions to counteract this understanding among adolescents. In conclusion, young Muslim leaders need to move proactively to convey the message and knowledge of liberalism to other youth in order to produce productive Islamic leaders in line with the demands of the Quran and Sunnah in leading the country in the future.
