[Relationship Between Gamification Implementation And Student Motivation In Learning And Facilitation Jawi In Terengganu] Hubungan Pelaksanaan Gamifikasi Dengan Motivasi Murid Dalam Pembelajaran Dan Pemudahcaraan Jawi Di Terengganu
Abstract
The diversity of approaches in the learning and facilitation (PdPc) in schools is highly emphasized by the Ministry of Education Malaysia to encourage and motivate students, including in the PdPc Jawi process. However, learning Jawi is seen as less interested by generation Z who consider it as a burden and less motivated in learning it. Thus, this study aims to look at the relationship between the implementation of gamification and student motivation in learning Jawi, in addition to examine the implementation level of gamification and student motivation. This study applies a quantitative approach by using the instrument of Implementing Jawi Gamification and Student Motivation. This study involved 150 fifth-year students from a population of 240 fifth-year students who were chosen from three schools in the district of Kuala Nerus, Terengganu. Data are presented through descriptive and inferential statistics using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) application which involves mean values and Pearson correlations. The findings of the study showed that the implementation level of gamification and motivation of the respondents was high. The results of the study also found that there is a significant relationship between the implementation of gamification and the motivation of respondents. This study can contribute to the improvement of the existing PdPc Jawi approach by applying the implementation of Jawi gamification to encourage motivation and involvement of students in learning Jawi.
