Reading proficiency is one of the four essential skills that must be acquired when completing the language acquisition process. The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) in a descriptive manner. A correlation study was performed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test to determine if there was a statistically significant relationship between the two variables. The Pearson's correlation test indicates a significant link between proficiency in Arabic grammar and reading abilities. The multiple regression analysis reveals a weak contribution of the variable of Arabic grammar proficiency to the mastery of reading skills. Moreover, STPM students in Terengganu lack proficiency in applying their understanding of Arabic grammar to reading comprehension. As a result, student needs to increasing applying skills in reading comprehension. In conclusion, teaching method of Arabic grammar should be adapted to reading comprehension activity and reading materials should be increased and diversified.
