The Sharif Muhammad al-Bashir Islamic Institute Foundation and its Role in Spreading the Arab Culture in the Ngala Region

Abstract

The Arabic and Islamic culture are two inseparable traits that are inseparable, and wherever Islam has established its feet, the Arabic language will be in its entourage, Islam has entered the lands of Borno since its dawn, through preachers and merchants, as stated in various historical sources. Scholars have a major role in laying the foundations of Arabic culture from then to the present time. They established institutions that accelerate the correct path for the spread of Arabic culture through Islamic institutes, and Sufi Zawãyah that work forward in that, among them the institution of the Shariff Muhammad al-Bashir Islamic Institute, which occupies a great place in the region of Ngala which played an effective role in spreading the principles of Arab Culture among Muslims in Nigeria, especially Borno State. Gradually, until the present time, the imprint of Sheikh Shariff Usman al-Bashir is firmly established among those who fought in the midst of these religious achievements. On that basis, the researcher chose the institution of the Shariff Muhammad al-Bashir Islamic Institute and its role in spreading Arab Culture in the region of Ngala as a topic in this article. he follow the descriptive inductive approach according to the following points: a brief overview of the founder and the environment in which he lived, the definition of the institution, the structure and division of the executive committee of the institution, its contribution to the dissemination of Arab culture in the region of Ngala.
