The study entitled “An Analysis of the Takmilah Theory in the Film Ketika Cinta Bertasbih” aims to examine and analyze the seven main principles of the Complementarity Theory as applied in the first part of the film. This study adopts a qualitative research methodology to analyze the seven core principles of the Complementarity Theory manifested in the selected film, namely the principle of divinity, prophethood (message), Islam, knowledge and literature, aesthetic-oriented literature, the principle related to the creator, and the principle related to the audience. The findings reveal that the film has successfully applied all the principles outlined in the Complementarity Theory through its storyline, characters, and dialogues. Among the seven principles implemented in this film are divinity, prophethood, Islam, knowledge and literature, aesthetic literary values, the author, and the audience.
