The Effect of Extracurricular Activities (Pioneer Arabic Club) in Enhancing the Arabic Speaking Skills among Students of Institut Dirosat Islamiyah Al-Amien Prenduan

Abstract

The Pioneer Arabic Club activity is an activity that learns speaking skills. Speaking skills is the ability to express articulation sounds or words to express thoughts in the form of ideas, opinions, desires, or feelings to interlocutor. This study aims to determine the effect of extracurricular activities of Pioneer Arabic Club on Arabic speaking skills of intensive students at Institut Dirosat Islamiyah Al-Amien Prenduan. This research is an experimental research with the type of Pre-Expremental Designs research with One Group Pretest-Posttest research design. The population of this study were all extracurricular members of the Pioneer Arabic Club the number is 13 students. Data collection techniques are tests, questionnaires and interviews. The analysis used is t-test. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the pioneer Arabic Club activities affect the students' Arabic speaking skills. So it can be concluded that H_(o )is rejected and H_(a )is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the pioneer Arabic club extracurricular activities on the Arabic speaking skills of intensive students at Institut Dirosat Islamiyah Al-Amien Prenduan.
