The Positioning of Feminist Writing in the Novelistic Discourse

Abstract

Nowadays, the novel has become more capable of addressing social issues and keep up with the latest world events. The novel is able to explore the world's vision and its horizons. It presents an approach to deal with social issues through a creative process. This can only be possible with the availability of the reference from which an author derives his or her narrative material and creates its historical background in order to feed the narration process and move it forward . In addition, reality provides a fertile field for capturing and formulating the narrative scene. Today, the novel has a stronger presence more than ever before, especially after many women have produced their own novels proved themselves to be active agents in the narrative discourse and not just a theoretical subject.
