Asian Journal of Medicine and Biomedicine (AJMB) strictly instructs the Editorial board and reviewers to stick to the Editorial Policy Statements which is Approved by the CSE Board of Directors

Section C. Guidelines to write a manuscript:
Asian Journal of Medicine and Biomedicine (AJMB) accepts articles from authors globally electronically via email. Currently, we are not accepting articles via online submission system or via fast tracking system. AJMB follows and process articles in compilation with Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals, by the International Committee for Medical Journal Editors.
Format: You should submit the manuscript and additional of Word DOC file. Based on the type of article submitted to AJMB, the authors are requested to follow standard guidelines for the preparation of manuscript. None of the articles, will be considered for review if it is found not according to the standard format or If the article or any part of the article has been published previously elsewhere. The article submitted to AJMB must not be submitted to other journals.
**Note: List of authors and their affiliations are included in the Cover Letter and must not be shown in the manuscript as AJMB practices double blinded review.
Original Manuscripts: The manuscript with original data and findings will be accepted for review. If any part of the manuscript has been found to be published previously, it will be rejected.
Cover Letter: There is a requirement of cover letter in which the corresponding author needs to declare name of authors, their affiliations and email addresses.
Abstract: The total words count for an abstract must not exceed 350 words. The abstract should have the following sections:
- Introduction/Background
- Aim & Objectives
- Methods/Study Design
- Results/Findings
- Discussion/Conclusion: For other articles, the Abstract should not be more than 350 words and should briefly describe the type and purpose of the article with conclusions OR For other types of articles (review etc), the Abstract should not be more than 350 words and should briefly describe the type and purpose of the article with conclusions.
Content: The total words count of any article should not exceed 5000 words. All text, figures, acknowledgements, references, figure legends, and tables should be in a DOC file (Word Doc). Figures and tables submitted should be included in the same manuscript file.
Tables/Figures and Illustrations: A total of maximum of 5 tables/ images/figures is allowed. Each table should be provided with a title and footnotes (if necessary). All tables should be included in the manuscript and referenced. Only High resolution images will be accepted. If you provide any photographs of patients, please submit the Patient Permission Form along with it. For photomicrographs, mention the type of specimen, original magnification and stain. For gross pathology specimens, label any rulers with unit of measure.
References: References should be typed single-spaced and must be numbered consecutively as they are cited in text, tables and figures.
How to write name of authors:
List all names if authors, if authors are less than or six. In case of more than six authors, list first three authors followed by "et al". Authors should use AMA style to cite their references. A guide on how to format references according to AMA style is available here. Please ensure you strictly follow AMA Referencing style, failure to do so will prolong the review/publication process.
Citations in Text
Use superscript Arabic numerals to number your cited sources in the text, tables and figures.
Example: It has been reported previously 3.
Units of Measurement, Abbrevations and Drug Names: All measurements in a Manuscript should be in SI units. Conversion factors should be provided for other units. Abbreviations should be used sparingly throughout the Manuscript. Drug names should be generic. If brand names are included in the Manuscript, please mention the name of the manufacturer and submit a Competing Interests Declaration form along with the manuscript.
Competing Interests / Conflict of Interest:
Declaration should be made for any financial assistance with any organization or company. This disclosure statement will be published alongside the article. If there is no Conflict of Interest, authors should specify it at the end of their manuscript.
Section D. Contents of a Manuscripts (Summary)
All types of manuscripts must be prepared by using British English.
Original Articles:
Original Research Manuscripts submitted should include the following sections:
- Title page
- Abstract
- Introduction / Background
- Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusions
- List of abbreviations (if any)
- IRB permissions (if any)
- Grant Registration Number (if any)
- Competing interests
- Authors' contributions
- Authors' information (if any)
- Acknowledgements
- References
- Tables (if any)
- Figure legends (if any)
- Description of additional files (if any)
Case Reports:
Case Reports are limited to 2500 words and 5 figures or illustrations and tables, including abstract.
Current Concepts:
Current Concepts articles include articles on clinical topics, diagnostics and treatment.
Current Concepts articles are limited to 2500 words and 5 figures or illustrations and tables, including abstract.
Book Review:
Book reviews are limited to 2000 words. Book Reviews can be done on any of subjects listed on the website.
Editorials:
Editorials are always solicited, although unsolicited editorials can be considered. Editorials are limited to 1500 words.
Letters to Editor/Hypothesis/Opinions :
Letters to Editor/Hypothesis/Opinions are limited to 750 words. Letters to Editor should only contain content pertinent to the articles published in the journal.
Section E. Corrections, Duplication Publications and Plagiarism
Corrections:
In case of any mistakes by editors, reviewers and authors, corrections to the article will be made when necessary. A statement regarding Clarification or Correction will be mentioned at the end of the article.
Duplication Publication:
AJMB accepts only unpublished Original manuscripts. AJMB also owns the copyright of an article once it’s published in the Journal. Unauthorized use or duplicate publication of the same article is not permitted.
Plagiarism:
Plagiarism is discouraged and is considered as academic dishonesty or fraud. If the Editor or reviewers discover that an article is plagiarised, they reserve the right to reject the article and refuse to accept any more articles from the authors.
