This research aims to determine the level of language anxiety among final year students in Qur’anic Language Studies at the Islamic University of Selangor and to identify the type of language anxiety that is most common while learning a foreign language especially the Arabic Language. The research sample was selected using purposive sample consisting of 35 students. The research uses a questionnaire modified from the questionnaire on the level of linguistic anxiety for a foreign language conducted by Ibn al-Sarraj (2014), or what is known as Arabic Foreign Language Anxiety Questionnaires (AFLAQ), to determine the level of linguistic anxiety. Then the researcher analyzes the data by using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program according to the analysis of the total sum and the arithmetic mean. The results of the research indicated that most of the final year students (23 students) are still at the severe level of language anxiety, followed by 11 students at a moderate level, and only one student who are categorized at a mild level. In addition, the research focused on the types of language anxiety, which revealed that test anxiety has the greatest impact on students, followed by performance anxiety, then communicative anxiety, and finally linguistic anxiety. Perhaps interest in this research will lead to reducing linguistic anxiety in learning the Arabic language.
