Abstract

This study examines the Arabic proverb “Wa-Man Yushabih Abahu Fama Zalam” (Whoever Resembles His Father Has Not Wronged) from the perspective of moral education, highlighting how this proverb reflects inherited educational, moral, and human values passed down through generations. The research uses this proverb as a model to explore the transmission of ethical and behavioral values from parents to children, analyzing the educational, religious, social, and psychological dimensions that contribute to the formation of individual character based on these values. The study aims to address how such proverbs influence the cultural and social identity of individuals and their role in preserving moral heritage within in societies. The research draws on a variety of sources from Arabic literature, Qur'anic exegesis, and modern psychological and social studies to support its points. Through the examination of philosophical, religious, and scientific arguments, it becomes evident that the resemblance between parents and children is not merely a biological phenomenon but is the result of a complex interaction between genetics, upbringing, and culture.
