The Role of Arabic Printing Presses in the Procession of Human Civilization in Nigeria: Perspectives and Dimensions
Abstract
This research aims to study the role of Arabic printing presses in the procession of human civilization in Nigeria, knowing with certainty that this printing has created new horizons in the service of human civilization in various aspects, in order to advance human sciences and urban knowledge, and without printing, human civilization may not reach that generous amount which is referred to today. Because of the importance of this subject in the field of study and the achievement of those noble goals on this article. The research uses the historical method to document some historical facts that are closely related to the subject. It also employs the descriptive approach to describe those sublime roles offered by printing presses to advance the progress of human civilization, hoping to answer the following questions: What is Arabic printing press? Are there roles for Arab writers towards the development of human knowledge? When did modern Arabic printing presses originate in Nigeria, and what are the roles offered by Arab printing presses in Nigeria? Are there any challenges that impede them from achieving these roles? In the end, the researcher found several findings, including: the development of literary skills and their proper use in all social activities, according to the steps that the mind follows in thinking, calling for a number of tasks that it performs to raise the level of human civilization. Among them: the need to provide an interesting educational environment in which security prevails and stability and works to achieve creativity and development between the group and individuals. Among them: the gradual educational and scientific development that characterizes advanced societies, which did not come by chance, but rather came through research in the most suitable educational methods and the best educational methods.
