The study of the phenomenon of linguistic interference contributes to knowing its effect on language learning. It helps to teach the mother tongue and the foreign language effectively and solves the problems of learning the foreign language. The phenomenon of linguistic interference usually confronts children who are bilingual, and those who learn the foreign language because they are affected by the linguistic system in the mother tongue. The study will explore the aspects of linguistic interference and determine its causes, limits, and effects in learning foreign languages, in order to reduce the occurrence of problems, and to help foreign language teachers to provide an appropriate method in teaching foreign languages to children and adults based on linguistic interference. It is expected in this study that the linguistic interference is through the negative transfer from the mother tongue, and in the field of language learning, the transfer of the effect of using the linguistic knowledge of the mother language to the foreign language is a cultural transfer, and the transfer may be positive, which improves learning and improves the learner's understanding of the foreign language, or negative. The study concluded that the interference from the mother tongue is due to the transfer of previous linguistic knowledge and experience of the learners to the target language. Learning improves and elevates the learner in language acquisition, or it is negative and hinders the progress of the learner in language acquisition and understanding. Nevertheless, the withdrawal of Muslim intellectuals from the ideological war is considered a major problem with long-term effects on society.
