Penerapan Aspek Bahasa, Budaya dan Pendidikan Terhadap Buku Teks Bahasa Arab Dalam Program j-QAF
Abstract
Jawi, Quranic, Arabic and Fardhu Ain (j-Qaf) is a special programme for students in primary schools in Malaysia aimed to enhance Islamic teaching among students. To realize the objectives of this programme, providing compatible textbooks for the use of students is something which should be emphasized. The textbook becomes the main reference in this programme and it should be used throughout the teaching process, rather than using other sources. In the context of learning languages be they native or foreign, the objectives vary. They should be well understood as to produce a textbook of high quality which fulfills all the criteria of a good textbook in the guidelines. The article written is aimed to identify the quality of three aspects of the language, the culture and the education of Arabic textbooks used, apart from reaching the objective of the j-Qaf programme which has been stated by the Ministry of Education. In collecting data, the evaluation tools suggested by Toiemah were distributed among teachers’ from 48 various national primary schools in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. This constituted the sample of the study. The study has shown that some improvements still need to be considered by intergrating the three main aspects, as to empower the j-Qaf program while trying to achieve the objectives.

Abstrak
Program Jawi, Al-Quran, Bahasa Arab dan Fardhu Ain (j-QAF) telah mula dilaksanakan di sekolah-sekolah kebangsaan seluruh Malaysia bertujuan memperkasakan Pendidikan Islam di sekolah- sekolah kebangsaan. Dalam merealisasikan objektif program tersebut, penyediaan buku teks bersesuaian merupakan suatu yang perlu dititikberatkan, kerana ia merupakan sumber utama yang digunakan dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran berbanding bahan-bahan lain. Dalam konteks pembelajaran bahasa, sama ada bahasa ibunda atau bahasa asing, pembelajarannya didorong oleh tujuan yang pelbagai. Tujuan-tujuan tersebut perlu difahami untuk menghasilkan sebuah buku teks yang berkualiti serta memenuhi kriteria-kriterianya yang telah digariskan. Kertas ini bertujuan mengkaji sejauh mana buku teks Bahasa Arab yang digunakan di sekolah-sekolah kebangsaan di seluruh Malaysia menepati ketiga-tiga aspek penting dalam penyediaan buku teks Bahasa Arab yang berkualiti iaitu bahasa, budaya dan pendidikan, serta mencapai matlamat Program j-QAF yang telah digariskan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia. Untuk tujuan tersebut, pengkaji telah membuat soal selidik terhadap guru- guru yang mengajar Bahasa Arab di 48 buah sekolah-sekolah rendah di sekitar Kota Bharu dengan menyenaraikan ciri-ciri buku teks yang berkualiti sebagaimana yang telah digariskan oleh Toiemah, seorang sarjana dalam bidang pengajaran Bahasa Arab sebagai bahasa kedua. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa buku teks Bahasa Arab yang digunakan pada hari ini memerlukan kepada penambahbaikan terhadap ketiga-tiga aspek tersebut demi memperkasakan Program j- QAF serta mencapai matlamat yang telah digubal.
