Abstract
Sekolah Agama (JAIM) Henry Gurney, Telok Mas is a pioneer prison school who carry out religious education formally since 2016. This school used Curriculum of Al-Qur’an and Fardu Ain Class (KAFA) provided by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM). Therefore, this study aims to explain the use of KAFA Arabic Language Curriculum for learning Arabic among juvenile offenders at the Sekolah Agama (JAIM) Henry Gurney, Telok Mas. In addition to detect the interest factors of juvenile offenders in learning Arabic. This study used a questionnaire instrument as a method of data collection and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The respondents consisted of 50 students (juvenile offenders) selected to the KAFA Arabic language curriculum at Sekolah Agama (JAIM) Henry Gurney, Telok Mas, Melaka. The findings of the study show that the use of a lower level Arabic language curriculum can attract students to learn Arabic. This study also identified the factors of the most interested students and impacted on this learning was increased in Arabic vocabulary (96%), followed by the learning Arabic language base on creativity of teaching methods, interesting including using the variety of teaching tools (92%). This study recommends to authorities such as the Malaysian Prisons Department, JAKIM and JAIM to study the suitability of using the Al-Quran and Fardhu Ain Class Curriculum (KAFA), especially the Arabic language curriculum in terms of content, level and approach among juvenile offenders more effective and achieve the objective of religious education for rehabilitation.

Abstrak
Sekolah Agama (JAIM) Henry Gurney, Telok Mas merupakan sekolah penjara perintis yang melaksanakan pendidikan agama secara formal sejak tahun 2016. Sekolah ini menggunakan kurikulum Kelas Al-Qur’an dan Fardu Ain (KAFA) yang disediakan oleh Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM). Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan menjelaskan penggunaan Kurikulum bahasa Arab KAFA bagi pembelajaran bahasa Arab dalam kalangan pesalah juvana di Sekolah Agama (JAIM) Henry Gurney di samping mengesan faktor minat pesalah juvana dalam mempelajari bahasa Arab. Kajian ini menggunakan instrumen soal selidik sebagai kaedah pengumpulan data dan dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Seramai 50 orang pelajar (pesalah juvana) di Sekolah Agama (JAIM) Henry Gurney, Telok Mas, Melaka yang mengikuti kurikulum bahasa Arab KAFA dipilih sebagai responden kajian. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa penggunaan kurikulum bahasa Arab yang lebih rendah tahapnya dapat menarik minat pelajar untuk mempelajari bahasa Arab. Antara faktor pembelajaran bahasa Arab diminati oleh pesalah juvana ialah faktor penambahan kosa kata bahasa Arab (96%) dan diikuti dengan faktor cara pengajaran guru yang kreatif, menarik dan menggunakan pelbagai alat bantu mengajar (92%). Kajian ini mencadangkan kepada pihak berwajib seperti Jabatan Penjara Malaysia, JAKIM dan JAIM agar menyemak semula kesesuaian penggunaan kurikulum kelas Al-Quran dan Fardhu Ain (KAFA) terutamanya kurikulum bahasa Arab dari kandungan, tahap dan pendekatan agar pembelajaran bahasa Arab dalam kalangan pesalah juvana lebih berkesan dan mencapai objektif pendidikan agama untuk pemulihan.
