Tasik Kenyir in Terengganu has been recognized as a Muslim-friendly tourism destination; however, the implementation of Islamic values in eco-tourism remains incomplete due to the lack of practical guidelines, insufficient knowledge among tourism operators, and the absence of clear Shariah-compliant tourism standards. Given that Tasik Kenyir is one of Terengganu's primary eco-tourism destinations, the integration of Islamic values into this tourism concept can effectively enhance the promotion of Muslim-friendly tourism in the state. This study aims to identify challenges in the implementation of Muslim-friendly tourism and to develop a Muslim-friendly tourism model based on Islamic values to enhance its practice in Tasik Kenyir. The study employs a qualitative approach through the analysis of literature related to Muslim-friendly tourism and Islamic scholarly works. The findings are further analyzed using content analysis methods to elucidate Islamic values that can be adapted in the eco-tourism context of Tasik Kenyir. Results indicate that the integration of Islamic values such as environmental conservation, Shariah-compliant hospitality, and the provision of facilities for worship can enhance the appeal of Tasik Kenyir as a Muslim-friendly destination. The model developed not only assists tourism operators in understanding and applying Islamic principles in their operations but also comprehensively meets the needs of Muslim tourists.
