The upward demand of Muslim Friendly Tourism (MFT) has impacted the research on it too. Over the last decade researchers have studied MFT from various perspectives and in relation to different industries and services categories. However there were still insufficient studies that systematically review the existing literature on MFT . This systematic literature review was designed to gauge the importance of MFT practice. It aimed to explore the nexus between the concept, practice and its future research direction. This study uses an integrated research design of systematic review of qualitative studies and expert opinion publications that was based on the publication standard, namely ROSES (Reporting standards for Systematic Evidence Syntheses). This study selected articles using two leading databases namely Scopus and Web of Science and one supporting database namely Google Scholar. Three major themes were evident from this study. First, Muslim Friendly concept. Second, products and services offered in the MFT practice. Third, the suggestion of future research direction is to implement and relate the concept into practice accordingly. This review highlights the importance of MFT in the tourism industry and its practice. It has shown that MFT need to change its adaptation plan into practice so that it is in line with the need and demand of tourists. It is also need to focus on specific content of research for its future research direction.
