Mustafa ‘Abd Al-Fattah’s Perspective on Children’s Literature: An Analytical Study of “The Three Friends” Story

This research aims to explore children’s literature through the works of Mustafa ‘Abd al-Fattah by delving into selected readings of some of his stories. The study also reviews a part of the author’s biography, in addition to discussing the general concept of children’s literature, which contains values that nurture and enhance children’s morals. The research follows a descriptive analytical approach by collecting information and studies related to Mustafa ‘Abd al-Fattah’s literature from various sources and conducting a careful reading of a selected sample of children’s stories written by him. This is to extract the most prominent artistic characteristics and features of Mustafa ‘Abd al-Fattah’s style in writing children’s stories, leading to conclusions and recommendations. By focusing on reading and analyzing the story “The Three Friends”, the results show that the author excelled in presenting events in a logical and sequential manner. The author’s short stories contain numerous educational values and concepts, and he used simple and fluent language appropriate for the age group he was addressing. This research has several implications, including opening new avenues for researchers to conduct more in-depth and comprehensive studies on the works of this pioneering author in the field of children's literature, and encouraging researchers and graduate students, especially critics and literary researchers, to explore other aspects of Mustafa ‘Abd al-Fattah’s creativity and to conduct analytical and critical studies on them.
