Keywords:

This study aims to examine the challenges faced by Chinese university students in communicating in Arabic and to explore the role of TikTok in enhancing their communication skills. The researchers employed a descriptive quantitative approach, administering two questionnaires to 32 students majoring in Arabic language from various universities in and outside Malaysia. The findings revealed that the main challenges were a lack of self-confidence and difficulty pronouncing Arabic letters. On the other hand, TikTok has a positive impact on students by boosting their confidence, broadening their interaction with native Arabic speakers, and enabling them to acquire new vocabulary. The study concludes that TikTok can be an effective tool to support Arabic language communication skills among Chinese students if used appropriately.
