The teaching of Arabic requires relevant, dynamic, and effective approaches to meet the learning needs of contemporary students. In line with advancements in educational technology and pedagogical innovation, interactive and innovative teaching strategies are increasingly recognised as key drivers in enhancing learners’ motivation, engagement, and achievement. This study examines the perceptions of high-achieving undergraduates enrolled in a bachelor’s degree programme in Arabic Language regarding the implementation of interactive and innovative strategies in Arabic language instruction. Purposive sampling and structured interviews were used to gather data for the qualitative study design. The findings reveal that interactive approaches—such as gamified learning, collaborative tasks, and multimedia integration—effectively enhance student engagement, motivation, and language proficiency. Innovative methods, including the use of digital platforms and creative pedagogical tools, were found to strengthen comprehension and sustain learners’ interest in language study. Participants also underscored the importance of emotional responsiveness, teacher enthusiasm, and contextual relevance in shaping positive learning experiences. The study offers practical implications for educators and curriculum developers seeking to optimise Arabic language pedagogy in higher education institutions. Future research is recommended to explore the long-term effects of these approaches across diverse educational contexts and learner profiles.
