Proposed Teaching Strategies for Developing Rhetorical Skills Among Religious School Students in Pahang

The study of rhetoric is a great challenge for non-Arabic speakers. Given the nature of the Arabic language, its grammatical and morphological rules, and the meanings of its vocabulary, this research aims to develop the rhetorical skills of religious school students in the state of Pahang, through modern teaching strategies for rhetoric, and to achieve this, the researcher prepared some modern teaching strategies, The semi-experimental approach was applied; To ensure the effectiveness of these strategies, the research sample was divided into two groups, one experimental and the other control, and the proposed strategies were applied with the experimental group, while the control group was studied in the usual traditional way. The results of the experiment showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the students of the experimental group in the two tests measuring rhetorical skills (pre and post) in favor of the post-test, due to the proposed strategies (the independent variable), and there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the students of the experimental group and the control group. In the post-test to measure rhetorical skills in favor of the experimental group, due to the effectiveness of the proposed strategies, In the light of the findings of the research, the researcher presented a number of recommendations aimed at developing the educational process, and the need to train teachers in religious schools in the state of Pahang on these modern teaching strategies for rhetoric and implement them in schools.
