The ancient Arabic grammarians played prominent roles towards the advancement of Arabic grammar, its issues, and the rules. They focused on authoring, writing, summarization; as well as paraphrasing various Arabic grammar. All these efforts intensified the advancement of Arabic grammar and simplification of its various rules. However, some modern Arabic grammarians and insignificant groups among the ancients came on board and strived to abolish some of the grammar rules which have been vividly explained by the ancient grammarians in their multi-volume book and some summarized ones by observing some of the problems and obstacles that face the learners of the Arabic grammar and the major causes of these. This was revealed in a book, entitled: “ar-Arddu- Alahn-Nuhat”, (A rejoinder on the Grammarians) by Ibn Mudau Al-Qurtabiy. He is the first scholar to open discussion on this advocacy, blessed with some followers among the modern grammarians. Our concerns in this work are to critically discuss the views of these scholars who advocate for the abolishment of Analogies (al-Aqiyas) nullified factors (al-Awaamilul-Mahdhufah) and the second and third causes (al-Ilalul-wath-Thawaniy wath-Thawalith) all in the name of reforming Arabic grammar and simplification of its issues for its learners.
