Abstract

This study examines the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching Standard Arabic and the Syrian dialect to non-native speakers, amid the gap between formal and spoken varieties. A descriptive analytical method was adopted, based on reviewing recent literature and analyzing selected AI-based language learning applications. The findings indiclearning andupports the four language skills, provides adaptive learning, and offers initial capabilities for digitally documenting the Syrian dialect, despite current limitations in dialect processing accuracy. The study recommends developing structured Arabic and dialectal learning resources, enhancing Arabic-focused language models, and conducting future applied research.
