The Challenges of Using Lughatul Fasli among Arabic Language Trainee Teachers at Sultan Idris Education University

The utilisation of Lughatul Fasli, also known as classroom management language, is a crucial factor in promoting the efficacy of class management, particularly in the context of teaching Arabic at educational institutions. The Standard Curriculum of Secondary (KSSM) and Elementary Schools (KSSR) has included components related to the utilisation of Lughatul Fasli. Hence, the primary objective of this research is to investigate the challenges encountered by Arabic language training teacher at Sultan Idris Education University when implementing the use of Lughatul Fasli in instructional and educational sessions. The research employed a qualitative methodology to investigate this matter, encompassing a sample of 25 Arabic language training teachers who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Semi-structured interviews serve as valuable instruments for data collecting. Thematic analysis was conducted utilising Atlas.ti software, revealing three primary challenges encountered by training teachers in the utilisation of Lughatul Fasli. These challenges encompass the barriers faced by coaches in implementing Lughatul Fasli, their efforts to surmount these challenges, and their expectations of students. Despite encountering substantial obstacles, the unique approach employed by coach teachers showcases their capacity and dedication to enhance the pedagogical and educational experience. This study posits that the establishment of an effective classroom management system necessitates the proficient utilisation of the Fasli Lughatul by training teachers, with the aim of cultivating an environment conducive to Arabic language learning.
