Abstract

The existence of consumptive behavior in the z generation is caused by a high lifestyle in order to follow the trend that is happening. In addition, consumptive behavior also arises due to a lack of understanding of the level of financial literacy. Apart from financial literacy, generation Z also needs to have a good financial attitude. If the z generation has a low level of understanding of financial literacy and financial attitude, it can lead to a high lifestyle, resulting in a consumptive behavior. The existence of this consumptive behavior makes generation Z unable to manage and respond to their finances properly. In this regard, the purpose of this study was to identify and analyze financial literacy and financial attitude towards the consumer behavior of Shopee users with lifestyle as a moderator variable in the Z generation. The research method used in this study is a quantitative approach. The sampling method used was purposive sampling and a total sample of 384 respondents was obtained. The analysis used in this study is inferential statistical analysis as measured by the SMARTPLS application. The results of the analysis obtained state that financial literacy has a significant effect on lifestyle. Financial attitude has a significant effect on lifestyle. Financial literacy has a significant effect on consumptive behavior. Financial attitude has a significant effect on consumptive behavior. Lifestyle has a significant effect on consumptive behavior. Financial literacy has a significant effect on consumptive behavior through lifestyle as an intervening variable. Financial attitude has a significant effect on consumptive behavior through lifestyle as an intervening variable.
